Green Tomato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium sized green tomatoes
    1 c. raisins
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    pastry for double crust 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Quarter
    tomatoes,
    put
    through coarse grinder.
    Drain off excess
    liquid.
    Measure
    pulp to get 2 1/2 cups.
    Combine tomatoes,
    raisins,
    butter
    and
    vinegar
    in saucepan.
    Blend together sugar,
    cornstarch and spices.
    Add to tomato mixture and stir
    well.
    Cook
    over moderate heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
    Don't
    get too dry, add little of the tomato juice if it
    appears so.
    Spoon mixture in unbaked pie shell, cover with top crust, slit.
    Smooth small amount of cream over crust and sprinkle
    with
    little
    sugar and cinnamon. Bake in preheated oven (425\u00b0) for 10 minutes.
    Reduce to 350\u00b0, continue baking 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
