Welsh Cakes - cooking recipe

4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. raisins
1 large egg
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add shortening and margarine, mix until like coarse meal.
Add raisins.
Beat eggs with milk, add to flour mixture to make a dough.
Roll at 1/4-inch thick on floured board and cut with glass. Makes about 30 cakes.
Cook at 350\u00b0 on electric grill or on top of stove in thick skillet.
