Biscuits Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening until dough is fine granules.
    Add milk; stir with fork, then knead dough with floured hands.
    Roll dough to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut out shapes. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
