Lime Water Chips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 gal. water
    2 c. household lime
    3 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. mixed pickling spice
    4 1/2 lb. sugar (remove 1 c. from 5 lb. bag)
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers 1/4-inch thick.
    Cover with water and lime. Let stand 24 hours.
    Rinse well and let stand in clear water for 3 hours.
    Drain well.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Pour cold solution over pickles.
    Let stand overnight.
    Simmer 30 minutes; put in jars and seal.
