Refrigerator Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix well all ingredients.
    Do not heat.
    Pack jars with sliced cucumbers and onions.
    Pour liquid over cucumbers and store in refrigerator.
    Cure for 1 week before using.
    (I use a gallon glass jar.)
