Basic White Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
Preparation

In 1-quart pot, melt butter.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper, making a smooth paste.
Slowly add milk; blend well.
Cook until sauce is thickened and bubbly, stirring often.
