Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. box raisins
3 c. water
3 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
5 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. soda
nuts or dates (if desired)
Preparation

Boil the raisins in the water for 3 minutes.
Let cool.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Use 6 round cans (No. 2 cans) or 8 smaller round cans. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
