1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
3 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour (more or less)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. ground pecans
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add yolk and beat well. Add milk and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Add pecans to dry ingredients. Combine with creamed mixture and blend well. Chill at least 1 hour after rolling dough into balls.
Wrap in waxed paper. Slice 1/8-inch thick and bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
