Peach Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. crushed Ritz crackers
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 can peach pie filling
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add cream of tartar and sugar gradually.
    Beat until stiff.
    Add Ritz crackers, vanilla and chopped nuts.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Bake 25 minutes at 325\u00b0. Cool.
    After cooling, pour pie filling over baked layer.
    Top with Cool Whip.
