Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 heads leaf lettuce
4 slices bacon
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. green onions, chopped
season to taste
Preparation

After cutting the bacon into small pieces, fry crisp and drain on paper towel.
Cut lettuce into pieces; add the onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add the vinegar to the bacon fat and bring to a boil.
Pour the hot vinegar over lettuce, tossing thoroughly.
Sprinkle bacon on top and serve.
