Spicy Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. each: chopped celery and onions
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/8 tsp. each: ground allspice and cinnamon
    salt and black pepper
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 c. cooked rice
    1/2 c. raisins, plumped
    1 tart cooking apple, cored and chopped
    1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook celery and onions in butter until tender-crisp.
    Stir in seasonings, rice and raisins.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Stir in apple; remove from heat.
    Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Makes 6 servings.
