Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. shredded cabbage
    4 slices bacon, diced
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 small onion, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook shredded cabbage in some boiling salted water for 7 minutes.
    Drain, cover and set aside.
    Fry bacon in pan until crisp.
    Remove bacon.
    Add brown sugar and flour to bacon drippings and blend well.
    Add water, vinegar, onion, salt and pepper.
    Cook until thick.
    Add cooked bacon.
    Mix all with cabbage and heat through.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
