Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. milk
5 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. margarine
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
Preparation

Beat sugar and oil together.
Add eggs; mix well.
Add milk and flour; stir until mixed, then add coconut.
Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour in cake batter; bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When cake is done, leave in pan.
Mix the last 4 ingredients; boil for 1 minute.
As soon as cake is removed from oven, punch holes all over top with a fork and pour this boiling mixture over it.
