Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick margarine
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
3 c. quick oatmeal (uncooked)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. broken nuts
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Put sugar, milk, margarine, cocoa and salt in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the oats, vanilla, nuts and coconut.
Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper. Makes 48 cookies.
