Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    dash of salt
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. lemon rind (optional)
    1 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix together the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Stir in water and lemon juice until mixture is smooth.
    Add grated lemon rind (if desired).
    Cook over medium heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat.
    Add butter; stir until melted.
    Good over pound cake or gingerbread.
