Squash Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 oz. summer squash
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    3 or 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook squash until tender.
    Drain well.
    Combine squash with remaining ingredients.
    Drop by spoon into hot oil.
    Brown on both sides.
    Serve while hot.
