Homemade Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. shortening (I use Crisco butter flavored)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.\tCut in shortening until mixture resembles
    coarse meal.
    Add milk all at once and stir just until\tmixture
    clings
    together.
    Knead gently.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut
    and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450\u00b0
    for
    10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
    Makes 10 to 12 biscuits.
