Ingredients

1 large Spanish or Bermuda onion
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Peel onion and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
Separate into rings. Heat
oil
(1
inch
deep) to 375\u00b0 in a large skillet. Beat remaining
ingredients
with rotary beater until smooth. Dip each onion
ring
into batter, letting excess batter drip back into bowl.
Fry
a
few
onion rings at a time in hot oil about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
Drain.
