Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 c. oats
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and brown sugar in bowl until light and fluffy.
Stir in oats, flour, eggs, soda, baking powder, salt, vanilla, chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes.
Remove to paper towel to cool completely.
