Sweet-Sour Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. light brown sugar (packed)
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks (reserve syrup)
3 Tbsp. vinegar (red)
2 Tbsp. ketchup
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 green pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 small onion, cut in 1-inch pieces
Preparation

Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in 10-inch skillet.
Add enough water to reserved pineapple syrup to measure 2 1/4 cups.
Stir syrup/water mixture, vinegar, ketchup and soy sauce into skillet. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and boils.
Stir in pineapple, pepper and onion.
Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Serve over prepared pork or chicken.
