My Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pitted dates, cut up
    1 1/2 c. strong hot coffee
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar, packed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 extra large egg or 2 medium eggs
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cram of tartar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour boiling hot
    coffee
    over\tthe dates.
    Add butter, sugars and salt and stir
    to
    blend well.\tLet cool.
    Sift all dry ingredients.
    Add egg to date mixture and blend well.
    Add dry ingredients and mix
    well
    again.
    Add
    nuts
    and vanilla. Spoon into 2 well-greased 9
    x 5-inch loaf pans.\tBake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until
    tests
    done.
    Cool
    in
    pans
    15 minutes. Remove to rack to
    cool completely before slicing.
    Serve with softened cream cheese.
