Green Peppered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
    1/4 to 1/2 c. butter or cooking oil
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. bean sprouts
    2 bell peppers, seeded and cut in strips
    1 c. tomatoes
    1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    4 green onions (including tops), chopped
Preparation
    Brown steak in oil.
    Add garlic, sugar and soy sauce.
    Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    Add salt, pepper, bean sprouts, green pepper and tomatoes.
    Cook 5 minutes longer.
    (Do not overcook.)
    Mix cornstarch with water and add to ingredients.
    Cook until sauce is clear or thickened.
    Sprinkle chopped green onions over mixture. Serve over rice with green salad and bread sticks.
