Apricot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 jar apricot jam
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Roll 1/8-inch thick on floured board.
    Cut into 2 1/2-inch rounds.
    Cut hole in center of 1/2 of rounds.
    Place round on cookie sheet. Top with filling, almost to the edge.
    Place round with hole in center on jam.
    Press edges together.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes approximately 4 dozen.
