Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
2 eggs (well beaten)
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 to 2/3 c. walnut pieces
Preparation

Blend sugar and butter.
Add the well beaten eggs.
Sift in flour and salt.
Add finely chopped walnuts.
Add vanilla.
Mix until smooth and light.
Drop by 1/2 rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Place one walnut piece in center of each cookie and press down lightly.
Bake at
375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until light golden brown on edges.
