Never Fail Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Measure sifted flour, then sift again with dry ingredients into bowl.
Measure shortening.
With pastry blender, cut it into dry ingredients quickly and lightly until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
Scoop a deep well in flour mixture and add milk all at once.
Stir gently with fork until flour is dampened.
Stir vigorously, just until dough follows fork around bowl.
