Ingredients

4 (1-inch) thick loin pork chops
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. butter (1/4 stick)
all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cider vinegar
6 Tbsp. maple syrup
10 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Pat pork chops dry.
Season meat with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in heavy large skillet over high heat.
Dredge pork chops in flour, shaking off excess.
Add to skillet and cook until brown, about 4 minutes per side.
Transfer to roasting pan (do not wash skillet).
Bake pork chops until thermometer inserted in thickest part registers 145\u00b0 (about 20 minutes).
