Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 tsp. cinnamon oil
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and corn syrup in saucepan.
    Bring to boil over high heat; stirring only until sugar dissolves.
    Stir in coloring while cooking.
    When the candy reaches 280\u00b0, stir in the flavoring oil.
    When the candy reaches 290\u00b0, quickly pour into 3 mini ice cube trays or candy trays.
    Let cool and harden about 4 hours.
    Twist trays to pop candy out.
    Store in airtight container.
