Pinto Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pinto beans
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme
    1 (11 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. bacon grease
    1 Tbsp. cumin
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning
    2 bay leaves
    1 onion
    1 green pepper
    2 ham hocks
Preparation
    Cover beans with water (about 1 to 2 inches above beans).
    Cook for 1 hour.
    Drain.
    Add all ingredients; add enough water to cover beans.
    Cook 2 more hours or until done.
