Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. fresh figs
    3 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Mash, grind or run figs through a food mill.
    Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
    Raspberry or blackberry may also be used.
