Icebox Cookies(Make Now, Bake Later) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. toasted pecans, chopped
    5 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar until well blended.
    Add the egg, vanilla and nuts; mix until well blended.
    In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt.
    Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, 2 cups at a time.
    Blend until the dough is all the same color.
    If the dough gets too stiff for a mixer, use a spoon to add the remaining cups of flour.
    Keep mixing with the spoon until the flour is well blended in.
    Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.
