Sauerbraten-Quick And Easy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 lb. beef
    1/2 (32 oz.) bottle ketchup
    1 c. vinegar
    3 onions, cut up
    salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. whole allspice
    4 bay leaves
Preparation
    Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper.
    Add enough water to cover.
    Cook over low heat for about 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
    Remove the meat from liquid and strain.
