Groundnut (Peanut) Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. smooth peanut butter
    1 chicken, cut into pieces
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 fresh tomatoes, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cover chicken with water in a saucepan and gently boil with salt and onion; cook until chicken is tender.
    Mix peanut butter gently with water until a thin paste is made.
    Add peanut butter paste to chicken and broth.
    Stir constantly and gently.
    Add fresh tomatoes and chili powder to the chicken and cook gently for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Serve over rice, yam or fufu (African cassava root boiled and pounded).
