Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    2 beaten eggs
    2 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the first 5 ingredients.
    Let cool.
    Mix well the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add above mixture into flour and sugar mixture. Grease 5 (16 ounce) cans (beans or pears) and fill 1/2 full. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    When cool on rack, empty out and wrap in foil.
    Keeps well. Delicious for coffee time.
    Try spread of butter.
