Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift and mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar and salt together.
    Add egg, milk and shortening.
    Beat 1 minute with spoon.
    Avoid overbeating.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
