"Esther Saners" Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 Tbsp. water (cold)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. margarine
    apples
Preparation
    Blend together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then add margarine and mix until fine.
    Beat eggs with water and mix with fork.
    Put all ingredients together; mix until dough is formed. Press with fingers into cake sheet/cookie sheet.
    Cut apples into 1/8ths and place into rows on dough.
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and a little nutmeg; sprinkle over apples.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until apples are soft.
    Makes sheet cake (cookie sheet) size (10 x 15-inches) plus a small one.
