Spoonbread Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground lean beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced or mashed
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 (15 oz.) can pear shaped tomatoes
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    2 tsp. salt
    4 to 6 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. water
    1 small can chopped black olives
    Cornmeal Topping
Preparation
    Saute meat, onion, green pepper and garlic in oil.
    Stir in tomatoes, corn, salt, chili powder and pepper; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in corn meal, blended with the water; simmer 10 minutes.
    Add olives and turn into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Spread Topping over meat.
    Bake, uncovered, in a 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
