Cinnamon Ornaments - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cinnamon
    1 tsp. powdered alum
    1/4 to 1/2 c. applesauce
Preparation
    Combine cinnamon and alum.
    Gradually add applesauce until the mixture becomes crumbly, not sticky.
    Knead vigorously for about 5 minutes.
    Mixture should be pliable.
    Roll out to 1/4-inch and cut with cookie cutters of desired shapes.
    Place on foil lined cookie sheet and allow to dry for 3 days, turning 5 times a day.
