Buttermilk Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook
    sugar
    and buttermilk on high heat for 6 minutes; add soda.
    Stir
    on
    lower flame until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Stir often and cool slightly.
    Add chopped pecans and vanilla.
    Beat and drop by spoonful on waxed paper.
