Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream sugars and shortening.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla, soda and salt.
    Add flour, 1 cup at a time (up to 1 1/2 cups, you can use your mixer, then you have to stir by hand).
    Stir into mixture the chips.
    The dough should be stiff enough that when pressed with a clean finger, no dough sticks.
    Place by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 9 minutes. Cookies should be just lightly brown on top and edges.
