Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
red and green crystals
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/4 c. chopped dates (8 oz. pkg.)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
black shoestring licorice
Preparation

In saucepan, heat butter; add eggs and sugar.
Mix well, stirring constantly.
Blend in dates; reduce heat to low.
Add flour, stirring and cooking until thick.
Remove from heat; add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
Mix well.
Cool for 2 hours.
