Blue Ridge Mountain Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    In separate bowls, beat the egg whites and egg yolks.
    To the egg yolks, add the sugar and beat well.
    Add the cornmeal, milk and flour.
    Add the melted butter, beaten egg whites and baking powder. Then pour into a greased pan.
    Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven until golden brown.
    Serves 4 to 6.
