Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Grease a loaf pan. (Use butter or oleo.) Combine sugar, milk, chocolate,\tcorn
    syrup and salt in a 2-quart saucepan. Cook
    over medium heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted\tand sugar is dissolved.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, to 234\u00b0 on candy thermometer (or until small amount of mixture dropped
    into very cold water forms a soft ball which flattens when removed from water).
    Remove from heat; add butter.
    Cool mixture
    to
    120\u00b0 without
    stirring,\t(bottom
    of pan will be lukewarm).
    Add vanilla
    and beat vigorously and continuously for 5
    to
    10 minutes with wooden spoon, until candy is thick and
    no longer glossy.
    Spread evenly in a buttered pan.
    Cool until firm.
    Cut into squares.
