Sour Cream Twists - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
    3/4 c. lukewarm sour cream
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1 large egg
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water with some of the sugar.
    Combine all dry ingredients and then the remaining.
    Knead several times on floured board until smooth.
    Roll into a rectangle 24 x 6-inch.
