Lady Baltimore Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 egg whites
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, shortening, 1/2 cup milk and vanilla. Mix in large bowl.
Beat 2 minutes at high speed.
Add remaining 3/4 cup milk and 5 egg whites.
Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Press lightly to see if center springs back.
If it doesn't, bake 5 minutes longer.
