Ingredients

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine flour, soda and salt in bowl. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until blended.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients, along with chocolate chips and nuts.
Pat into 14-inch round pizza pan that has been sprayed with nonstick coating.
Bake 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle topping over cookie crust.
Let stand 5 minutes, then swirl with spatula.
Cool completely.
Cut into wedges before serving.
