Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Add 2 cups Rice Krispies (1/2 cup chopped pecans are optional). Mix well. Shape into balls and dip into powdered sugar. Keep in a tin can.
