Pork Chops With Pears, Blue Cheese And Green Peppercorns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    4 boneless pork chops, cut 3/4-inch thick
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground white pepper
    2 medium firm, ripe pears (Bosc, Bartlett or D'Anjou)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. crushed green peppercorns (or 1 tsp. cracked black pepper)
    1/4 c. crumbled Blue cheese
Preparation
    Note:
    To crush peppercorns, press them with the flat side of a knife blade.
