Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. butter (real)
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. mincemeat
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. cherry or strawberry preserves
    1/2 c. nuts
    4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Beat yolks and sugars together.
    Add butter and cream.
    (Can use mixer.)
    Add soda to buttermilk; mix into sugar mixture.
    Add raisins, jam, mincemeat and preserves; mix well.
    Put cinnamon, cocoa, cloves and nutmeg into flour.
    Mix all these together; add nuts.
    Beat egg whites and fold in last.
