Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    2/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar, Karo syrup and water in saucepan; bring to a rolling boil.
    While this mixture is boiling, beat egg whites until stiff. Syrup mixture will be done when a small amount dropped into a cup of cold water forms a firm ball.
    When done, pour slowly into beaten egg whites, stirring constantly.
    Add nuts and vanilla until mixture begins to get firm, then drop by spoonful onto buttered cookie sheet.
