Shrimp Ala Louisiana - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. light margarine
    1 1/2 c. quick cooking rice
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 3/4 c. defatted beef broth
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    3 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1/4 c. sliced scallions (garnish)
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, heat margarine.
    Add the rice, onion and green pepper.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add the broth, black pepper and hot pepper sauce.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover.
    Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.
